I’m Elizabeth Oluwatayomi Taiwo. I studied Economics in Covenant University.
I am the creative director of Lisa Bunta; a jewelry store where we make various artistic accessories.
I started bead making and design in Junior Secondary School 2 (JSS 2). A Corps Member serving in my school at the time had a class where she taught some students who were interested how to make beadedjewelry. Initially, I wasn’t interested and I felt it was a waste of time. However, when I saw my mates working on their projects in the hostel, I gradually developed interest and decided to join the class. But guess what! I was late because the classes were ended. She however advised me to buy the required materials and learn from my mates and I did just that. I learned the basics from them and started making various beaded jewelries. And then I began to yearn to know more, try more techniques – I surfed the web and up came YouTube to the rescue. That’s where I learned most of what I know today, the rest, are based on my own creativity

I eagerly look forward to training others too, this is scheduled for later in the year.
I also do a little of cord knotting especially when it’s required to make jewelry. Then I crochet and knit sometimes, but not professionally, yet.
